Business Profile

Home buyers Report | Asbestos Surveys If the home you want to buy was built before 2000 you should consider an Asbestos Survey. Asbestos was widely used in the construction of homes in the 20th century. if it's in the home you're buying it could present a hazard and is expensive to remove. Having an asbestos survey carried out before hand will give you peace of mind upon purchasing.

The Asbestos Survey Report from Fallon Pilott Ltd identifies asbestos, assesses the condition and health hazard and if it's there, includes the estimated costs to have it removed; which could prove useful in your house price negotiations.

A simple identification service starts at £55, a typical terraced house £149 and a 3 bedroomed semi at £199.

Home owners - If you're aware that you have asbestos in your home you have an obligation to inform any contractors working on your property to inform them of its whereabouts to protect them and you from asbestos fibres.

Garage removal | Asbestos or Concrete There are still millions of buildings in the UK that contain asbestos according to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Garages fall into this category, whether it's an asbestos roof or the entire garage.

The asbestos found in garages is asbestos cement and this contains 10-15% Chrysotile fibres mixed with Portland cement. It was added to increase strength and longevity to the product. The reason why there is so much of it still around.

Chrysotile is a class 1 carcinogen classified by the World Health Organisation and can cause asbestosis, lung cancer and plural thickening on the lungs. If it is well bonded within the cement it is considered low risk but with age, the cement in the sheets will deteriorate and the fibres will be exposed.

There are a few options with our asbestos garage removal service.
Removal of the roof only, If you're putting a new roof on the garage we can remove the asbestos sheets for you.
If the entire garage is asbestos and it needs to go, we can remove that for you.
If the garage is concrete and needs to go, we can remove that for you also.

Garages come in all shapes and sizes and the biggest cost factor is the weight of the waste. Asbestos has to go to landfill and is more expensive to tip than concrete wood and any other materials to be found in the waste.

Before works commence we have to measure and quantify the waste, carry out a risk assessment, produce a safe method statement and isolate any services to the garage, such as electricity and water. You may want to use these elsewhere in the garden and we can help with that.

Commercial and Industrial | Asbestos Surveys Commercial and Industrial | Asbestos Surveys
From an office to a shop to an industrial premises built before the year 2000- We offer two asbestos surveys in line with the control of asbestos 2012 regulations act and the Health and Safety at work act 1974.

The management survey - This survey identifies where reasonably practical, asbestos on your premises for inclusion in your asbestos register. This is legally required by duty holders of non-domestic premises who must survey, register and manage asbestos on their premises. The asbestos register aids the production of the asbestos management plan.

Your duty to manage asbestos is to protect the occupants, visitors and any contractors working on your premises from the harmful fibres released by asbestos. Our management survey prices start at £220.

The Refurbishment and Demolition Survey (R&D) - again under the control of asbestos regulations 2012 and the Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM) 2015 you must carry out an R&D survey before any works commence. Asbestos has to be dismantled and removed from the buildings to prevent harm to contractors on the new building works or the demolition. Carrying out works without removing asbestos will fill the air with asbestos fibres putting everyone at risk and the fines from HSE are huge! http://news.hse.gov.uk/category/topic/asbestos/

R&D Asbestos Surveys are more intrusive than the management survey getting into the fabric of the building to ensure where practical all asbestos is found and recorded. Our Prices for R&D asbestos surveys will vary depending on your requirements.

Asbestos Waste Bags We supply bags for all asbestos removal projects great and small, from asbestos sacks, asbestos sheet bags, bulk bags to 8 yard and 20 yard skip bags for large jobs.

Asbestos Collection Service Collecting asbestos from homes and businesses every day our Asbestos Collection Service operates throughout the North West & North Wales. Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and the A55 corridor through North Wales.
